Birdie & the Barrel is a true family-owned restaurant founded by the Pasquariello family, rooted in the local communitie. For decades the Pasquariellos have been part of the local fabric — some family members still call Simsbury home — and that family spirit is what you’ll feel the moment you walk through our door.
Twenty years ago we purchased The Cracker Barrel pub in Tariffville, where we learned the art of hospitality the old-fashioned way: honest food, warm service, and a place where neighbors become family. Birdie & the Barrel builds on that legacy, blending the comfortable charm of a neighborhood gathering spot with a passion for quality and community.
We were selective about growth — only the right opportunities would spark our interest — but we’ve always been drawn to the club and golf-course restaurant scene, inspired by the relaxed, social settings where people come together to celebrate life’s little victories. Located near the unique recreational amenities of Simsbury Farms, we’re proud to serve locals and visitors who appreciate great food, family connection, and the joy of shared moments.
